Most Wanted Jean-Claude, Arrested In Abidjan After 20 Years On Run

A Frenchman, Jean-Claude Lacote wanted for 20 years for murdering a British businessman has been arrested in Abidjan.

Lacote and his wife Hilde Van Acker, were each sentenced to life imprisonment for the killing of one businessman Marcus Mitchell who was shot twice in the head in Belgium in 1996.

Lacote and Hilde were listed on Europol’s most wanted list, they left Belgium after the murder and came back to Ivory Coast’s commercial capital after 20 years.

Lacote was arrested on Wednesday night, November 20, and Hilde on Thursday morning.
