Matawalle removes 19 permanent secretaries over failure of test

Zamfara state governor, Bello Matawalle, has just reduced the number of permanent secretaries in the state from 46 to 27 and also created a new ministry for Security and Home Affairs.

The governor announced this on Thursday, 14th November. The governor said: “The government has reduced the number of Permanent Secretaries from 46 to 27. This was, however, done after written and oral tests for all the existing Permanent Secretaries.”

Matawalle, named newly created Directorates as Lands Matters, Housing and Urban Development, Chieftaincy Affairs, Maintenance, and Disaster Management, Inter-Community Relations, Bureau for Public Procurement and Bureau for Public Service.
