Man impregnates his 16 years old daughter

A 42-year-old man identified as Taofeek Oyeyemi has been arrested for allegedly impregnating his teenage daughter in Ogun State.

The suspect, according to the police confessed to have slept with his daughter on several occasions which led to her pregnancy

The suspect who was nabbed by operatives of the State Police Command was said to have taken the 16-year-old to a quack doctor for abortion after discovering that she was pregnant for him.

It was gathered that Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the mother of the victim reported the matter at Ewekoro Police Station after which the police swung into action.

According to Abimbola, the victim had been bleeding since the abortion was performed on her.

The PPRO’s statement reads as follows, “A 42-year-old man, Taofeek Oyeyemi, has been arrested by operatives of the Ogun State Police Command for impregnating his 16-year-old daughter”.

“The suspect was arrested following a complaint by the mother of the victim who reported at the Ewekoro Police Station that her daughter, who was living with her ex-husband, informed her that she was impregnated by her father, who also took her to a quack medical practitioner for abortion. She explained that since the abortion was carried out, the victim had been bleeding.”
