The Lagos State Government has announced the feeding of 100,000 youths daily to reduce the impact of the lockdown extension in the state.
The governor of Lagos state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu said during a briefing at the statehouse in Marina that the government would open food kitchens in all the councils in the state.
The target would be to provide one meal per day to 100,000 youths in the state.
The governor also said there will also be unconditional cash transfer to 250,000 vulnerable in the state and economically challenged persons who have identification numbers with Lagos State Residents Registration Agency.
Sanwo-Olu counseled for calm among residents, said the 14 days extension is for the health workers to finish up with contact identification, testing, and admission of suspected and confirmed cases.
