A member of the House of Representatives, Zakariya Dauda Nyampa, pleaded to the Federal government to enlist the names of all the fresh graduates into Nigerian Army.
Honorable Dauda Nyampa represents the Michika/Madagali constituency of Adamawa state.
The lawmaker made the suggestion at a virtual meeting organized by a non-governmental organization.
He said the military service should replace the mandatory one-year National Youth Services Corps (NYSC).

Nyampa, therefore, noted that graduates who do not have the interest to serve as military personnel should be allowed to venture into other endeavors after the mandatory one-year training and service in the Nigerian army.
However, the lawmaker advocated the Nigerian government on behalf of the fresh graduates.
He, however, sought government consideration in enlisting fresh graduates into the Nigerian Army.
