FG establishes committee to tackle Fake News

The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed has said that a committee has been established to implement and look into the recommendation approved by President Muhammadu Buhari on tackling hate speech and fake news.

He called on online publishers and bloggers to aid or give support to the national campaign and fight against hate speech and fake news.

He said “No responsible government would sit and allow fake news and hate speech to spread over the nation, this is why we will continue to establish ways to tackle fake news and hate speech until we banish them both”.
