The federal government arrested Nigerian surgeon Dr. Anuolauwapo Adepoju of MedContour Services Ltd following a failed cosmetic surgery that led to the death of her patient.
This was made known by a popular journalist Fisayo Soyombo who shared her court’s documents on Twitter.
It, however, stated that: the plastic surgeon was arraigned for several complaints by unsatisfied clients who reported her to the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission.
Her trial according to popular investigative journalist, Fisayo Soyombo, kicked off today, July 3rd, at the Federal High Court, Ikoyi, Lagos.
Soyombo said that the plastic surgeon was arrested on Wednesday, July 1.
The document revealed that Dr. Anu was reported by three of her clients named, Marlene Adejumo Oluwakemi, Taiwo Omolola Temilade, and Vivian Onwuzuligbo.
The case is;
“The Federal Republic of Nigeria v. Dr. Adepoju Anuoluwapo & MedContour’, and the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission is the prosecutor (FCCPC).”
“Among the allegations against her is that a failed cosmetic surgery by her led to the death of one Mrs. Nneka Miriam Barbra Onwuzuligbo.”
