COVID-19: Governor Seyi Makinde confirms 30 new cases in Oyo State


Governor Seyi Makinde has confirmed 30 new cases of COVID-19 in Oyo state.

Makinde has announced the latest update of the novel coronavirus in the state via his social media.

Amid the thirty new cases found in the state, it was reported that 27 cases are found in iSON Xperience.

However, the remaining three cases are found in Ibadan South West, Ibadan South East, and Oluyole Local Government Area.

This makes the total cases found in Oyo rise to 233.

The COVID-19 confirmation tests for thirty suspected cases came back POSITIVE. Twenty-seven cases are from iSON Xperiences and one each from Ibadan SW, Ibadan SE, and Oluyole Local Govt Areas. So, the total number of confirmed cases in Oyo State as at 5.30 PM today is 233.”

According to Makinde, Oyo state has discharged nine more patients from its isolation center.

This brings the number of discharged cases in Oyo State to fifty-eight.

“Nine confirmed COVID-19 patients have received their second NEGATIVE test results and have been discharged.”

Makinde has, therefore, urged residents to always contact the government in case of any Emergency.
