The All Progressives Congress (APC) has rejected the suit seeking the amendment of the constitution in favour of President Muhammadu Buhari to run for Third term in office.
A member of The All Progressive Congress in Ebonyi State, Charles Enya, has reportedly filed the suit (FHC/AI/CS/90/19) before a federal high court in Abakiliki, Ebonyi state capital.
Reacting to this development, the ruling party (APC) said the legal action filed by Charles Enya, a member of the party, was in bad taste.
The party also described Charles as a gossip with ulterior motives.
In a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Lanre Issa-Onilu, the party threatened a legal action against Enya, as well as serious disciplinary action if truly he was a member of the party.
It was described that Charles is an enemy of Nigerians, APC says he’s likely sponsored by the opposition party and the president has nothing of such in mind.
